Hottentot fig

Creeping succulent plant with long stems (up to 2 meters) and green leaves with a triangular section that look like cat’s claws. They produce (from early spring to early summer) many flowers in various colors: yellow, pink, red or purple. Its fruits are fleshy and edible.

They can be used as upholstery or hanging plants in pots and planters. It is ideal for gardens by the sea, as it resists salinity very well.
Carpobrotus edulis needs full sun exposure, facing south; it resists high temperatures but not frost.
