Queen of the night

This column-like climbing cactus often forms aerial roots which cling to the supporting wall or tree. Flowers appear abundantly in the summer months. They open at dusk and welk in the early morning. They are up to 30 cm long, brownish orange-yellow on the outside, white on the inside and vanilla-scented.
