Brush cherry

Evergreen tree that can grow to 15 m in the wild but usually is kept smaller in subtropical gardens (5 to 10 m) as a fantastic fast growing screening plant. It shows shiny dark green foliage with lovely new red growth. White fluffy flowers appear in spring/summer, followed by small red or pinkish fruits in winter, that attract several birds. Tolerates a wide range of soil types.
