Bangalowpalm, Piccabeen Palm

A midsize, slender palm (20 m) with a pendulous inflorescence of bright lilac-pink flowers that flowers several times a year and attracts numerous insects. The basis of the palm fronds form a clear shaft around the stem. The inflorescence unfolds just beneath the shaft by splitting a huge leaf. The pea size seeds ripe from green to coral red. The Piccabee Palm belongs to the most decorative Palms on the Canary Islands. (min -5°C)
