The islands of La Palma and Tenerife both belong to the Canary Islands archipelago, but are different territories separated by 140 kilometres of sea. What is happening in La Palma therefore has no impact on Tenerife. There are also no consequences for the air, so the air space and tourist activity have not been affected. In any event, the situation on the island of La Palma is completely under control by the authorities.

There are no people at risk and the procedure for evacuating tourist accommodation and residences is fully operational, with the aim being that all the residents and visitors will have accommodation available to stay out of any type of danger.

The Canary Islands is a volcanic territory which has access to scientific and technological instruments and personnel of the highest quality to react early any situation such as that which has occurred. Despite the extraordinary natural phenomenon we are experiencing, we therefore repeat that there is no danger to human life.

We appreciate the importance of your holiday and the impact that the closure of the airspace has on your plans, and we understand that some of our clients may wish to revise their travel plans.

The following policy is currently in place: clients who wish to revise their travel plans are able to amend to an alternative travel date without incurring normal administration fees. Any difference in price will be payable, although if the alternative holiday is cheaper than the original, then the difference in price will be refunded. Alternatively customers can cancel free of charge if their flight has been confirmed as cancelled by the airline.
