Puerto de la Cruz is working hard to reopen the popular Playa Jardín – before the summer!

In recent months, the city, together with Aqualia, has carried out numerous cleaning and maintenance measures to improve water quality and make swimming safe again

. From the thorough cleaning of sewage pipes to the modernization of pumping stations – all measures are paying off: Since December 2024, water quality has been consistently within the green range, as confirmed by the health authorities. Long-term investments are also being made in sustainable water infrastructure to keep the beaches clean and the swimming experience unspoiled.
