The main purpose of this contest is to reward the funniest photograph of the Carnival masks to keep alive the joy of this great festival in Tenerife.

Theme: carnival photos of the masks. Masks decorated and / or as part of a costume. Fun and originality with reference to the Tenerife Carnival.

Participants and registration
The contest is aimed at all individuals, of legal age and of any nationality, whether they are professional or amateur photographers. Participants who submit works to this contest expressly acknowledge their owners and state that there is no claim from third parties on them being fully responsible for them, if any.

The theme of all the works will be the “do you know me mask?”

Within this theme, the contestants have total freedom when presenting their work, as long as the basis is artistic and creative photography framed in this context.

The organizing committee of the contest keeps the right of acceptance of the works according to whether or not they are adapted to the theme of the contest.

Files with content contrary to the right of honor, personal and family privacy or the image of people or contrary to current legislation will not be accepted.

The participant will be responsible for the authorship of the photograph (s) presented.

Presentation of images: The photographs will be presented in digital format only through Facebook @hoteltigaiga in the comments of this post, where the votes will be made.

Along with the images sent, it must include the place where the photo was taken, #mascarillacarnavalera, #carnavalTigaiga, # CarnavalTenerife.

The photographs that participate in the contest may be published on the Tigaiga social networks, always indicating the name of the author and that they are participating in this contest.

1. Deadlines
   The deadline for submitting works to the contest will begin on January 28, 2021 and end on February 19, 2021. During this time, photos can be uploaded as a comment, voting and commenting on favorite photos. The winners will be announced on February 20, 2021.
2. Jury
   The photograph with the most “LIKES” obtained – by popular vote – will be the winning photograph.
3. Awards
   The award for clients with accommodation reservation: 1 dinner for two during their next stay. Clients without reservation: breakfast for two and a day in the pool. This cannot be exchanged for any other product and / or item and / or money.

Saturday, 5th March:   Movumento Sensen del Bloko (Brazilian Samba horn section, strings and voices). Venue: Plaza de Europa. Free entrance. Carnival Parade and Grand Ball in Plaza del Charco.

Sunday, 6th March: Shows by Adult Dance Groups from Puerto de la Cruz and  Adult Fancy Dress Competition. Venue: Plaza de Europa. Free entrance. Grand Ball in Plaza del Charco, Calle La Marina and Calle Perdomo.

Tuesday, 8th March:   XXXIX Veteran Car Rally. Paddock in Avenida Colon.

Wednesday 9th March: “Entierro de la Sardina” (Funeral for the Sardine). Fireworks display and Grand Ball in Plaza del Charco.

Friday, 11th March: from 10 p.m. XVII Men’s Marathon in high heels “Mascarita Ponte Tacon”.

Saturday, 12th March: Grand Puerto de la Cruz International Carnival Parade
